The SI-8614-3 Nanoceptor TM is a high-performance subminiature surveillance receiver that tunes from 20 to 3000 MHz. The primary application of this receiver is to function as a tuner providing a 70 MHz Switched IF Output suitable for driving external A/D converters. The extremely small size and low power consumption make the unit ideal for portable applications where size, weight and power reduction are critical.
Frequency tuning covers the range from less than 2 MHz
to 3000 MHz in 100-Hz steps.  Performance is optimized
with RF preselection for the range of 20 to 3000 MHz.
Tuning can be commanded from any frequency to any
other frequency in the range in less than 11 milliseconds
maximum (8 ms typical).   Tuning between frequencies
separated by less than 1 MHz typically requires less than
3 ms in sweep mode operation.

The IF bandpass filtering provides many options to support
external A/D processing and anti-aliasing requirements.
Filters may be cascaded to provide the required shape
factor and selectivity.  Up to nine IF bandwidths can
be provided depending on the filters selected and the
selectivity requirement.  Contact factory with IF bandwidth
    requirements.
The receiver also provides AM, FM, LOG and Pulse
demodulation through all selected IF bandwidths.  The
AM demodulation provides lower audio and video output
levels than the standard SI-8614 and SI-8614-1 receivers as
noted in the specification table.  For this reason, external
amplification may be required to drive audio and video
    devices for AM.
